Tremont Music Hall: AP Tour Review
The night was unlike most (4/14/07). My favorite band in the world Circa Survive came to Charlotte, NC. The Rock venue was Tremont Music Hall, the doors opened at 6pm, show started at 7pm. When my bro and I got there, all the members of Circa Survive were signing posters, cds and whatever else your wanted them to sign. Circa Survive started signing at 6:20 and didn’t stop until way after seven. They were all such cool guys when my bro and I got there sigs.
The night opened with Envy on the Coast. There were great. My favorite songs they did were “temper, temper” and “suckerpunch”. They really kick off the night. At the last song of Envy’s performance As tall as Lions lead singer Dan sang with Envy’s lead singer Ryan. It was really cool.
Next up was a band I wasn’t too familiar with because I only gave them a few listens on the web. That band was As tall as Lions. This band surprised the hell out of me. They were freakin awesome. Maybe I’m crazy, but there sound reminded of coldplay. Anyway, they are definitely on my radar for future bands I’ll see.
Ahhh yeah! It was time for the “one band to rule them all” CIRCA SURVIVE!!!! Let’s just say their music levels were set perfect. Anthony’s amazing voice was so clear and clean. Anthony singing was so good sometimes it just seemed unreal. Colin, Brenden, and Nick shredded on their guitars so amazingly with that great atmospheric and moving sound . Their drummer Steve provided the hard hitting drums that make Circa’s songs so invigorating. They made the night complete for me. I rocked out so hard to Circa Survive I was so sore the next morning. The only good soreness in my book.
Last was Cute is what we aim for. I’m gonna keep this one short because I’m not a huge fan of them, but they still performed well that night.
As all of you can see my night was rockin packed! And as always ROCK ON!
